          Shawn Edward Whittington, age 51, of Martinsburg, W.Va., died on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at his home.

          Born November 25, 1972 in Martinsburg, W.Va.

          at the Kings Daughters Hospital, he was the son of Richard Stewart Palmer of Martinsburg and Catherine Ann Whittington Delawder of The Villages, Fla.

          He was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School. Shawn worked as a construction worker.

          He enjoyed motorcycles, racing, music and writing his own music.

          In addition to his parents, Shawn is survived by his two children, Lauren Elizabeth Whittington and Tobin Alexander Cain, both of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., his stepfather, Norman Delawder of The Villages, Fla.

          and one sister, Jennifer Lynn Eells of Gainesville, Fla.

          He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Cecil Leroy and Ida Lorraine Whittington.
